If you are reading this, congratulations! We've survived this far.

2020 was a lot! The world was united in fear and anxiety and we moved from being able to pick up, pack up and leave to having over one third of the world on lock down!
Then the pent up urge to travel set in and social media was a wash with throwback travel picks and I wont even lie, one look at my instagram and you know I was totally a victim of travelling through pictures, because let's face it, the only way to travel for some time was by re-living the past.
But then governments started lifting the lock downs and we saw the flimsy possibility that we'd travel again and the question was no longer if we would travel but how would we travel post covid.
Suddenly we became aware of the frightening level of human interaction at our airports, the thought of congested ques, being stuck with a bunch of strangers at the security checks, check ins and immigration was enough to convince you to stay at home.
In hindsight, we got to embrace slow living and appreciate some down time but once things opened up a little bit more, domestic travel became a part of travel trends and stay cations officially became a word. Personally I got to explore my figurative backyard so to speak and my favorite tick on the bucket list has to be my visit to the African heritage house.

And with restaurants all over the world re-imagining their take out and delivery packages, from a gourmet netflix binging kit to packed and set picnic baskets, we had a chance to taste something out of the ordinary and utterly delicious.
So if 2020 taught me anything, it is that life is full of storms but you have to drive through the storm and soon you'll be on the other side.
Therefore even as we settle into 2021, not all of us have it figured out but we have all at least come to terms with the fact that we must find ways to re-imagine our lives and stay in play. Here is to a better year, more adventure and to driving through our storms!
