I try to find a local delicacy wherever I go and while sometimes my taste buds repel with a passion, I have found that the more local you get with the food in a foreign land, the more wholesome an experience you'll gift yourself. Mainly because more often than not the best authentic local delicacy will not be found in some five star hotel or fancy restaurant chain but in the most interesting characterful smaller food vendors full of even more characterful people.

Cutting down on unnecessary expenses without taking away from your overall travel experience is what you need and with a little nip here and a tack there, you can still have a wholesome experience without breaking the bank.
